CAS Dean’s Office Conference Rooms
Dean’s Office in the Communications building has two Conference Rooms for meetings.
CAS Conference Room 065: accommodates 14 (20 doable but tight)
Location: in the CAS Dean’s office in the Communications Building on the main floor
CAS Conference Room B040: accommodates 6 (8 doable but tight)
Location: in the CAS Dean’s office in the Communications Building in the basement
Access is via keypad – code: ASK CAS IT (does not have a CAMMS card reader)
How to Book Zoom Rooms
• Step 1
Using Outlook or another email calendaring program, Create an Event with the correct date, time and details
for your event. Copy the Zoom Connection details (or add using Outlook/Zoom Integration) into the meeting invite.
• Step 2
Add your attendees (individuals/groups) to the meeting and add the desired room resource account to the
list of attendees as well. If confidentiality is required – mark your meeting as “Private” and details will not be visible to
viewers of the calendar.

• Step 3
Once you have invited the room to the event and sent the invitation, you will receive an email from the room
indicating if your event was Approved. If you do not receive this email, reach out to cas-ithelp@uw.edu to investigate
why your event was not received by the Resource Calendar. If you booked over another meeting, you would receive a "Declined” email.
• Step 4
Once your meeting has been approved for the room – your Zoom connection details will appear on the iPad in
the room. If there are no Zoom Details, the Join button will simply not appear, but the meeting will still appear on the
iPad as a place holder.
Note: You can include a Teams Meeting in your invite instead of the Zoom Details, but there are severe quality limitations with using Teams in the Zoom Room’s. Zoom will give you the best hybrid meeting experience.
