Central UW Human Resources oversees policies for staff, student hourlies and others. Both initial compensation funding and future compensation adjustments are the responsibility of the funding source ‘owner’. Within CAS, academic and non-academic units manage gifts, grants, and other non-tuition funding sources independently of the Dean’s Office but pursuant to the policies for employee groups. Units are responsible for managing compensation for each employee group supported on tuition revenues (General Operating Fund, aka GOF) and must remain within their annual allocation of tuition revenue.
