- in cases where funding may provide unique opportunities to increase applicants’ competitiveness for subsequent funding

Fall 2021 Deadline - September 27th 2021 by 5pm
Limited Submissions - Some sponsors will limit the number of applications coming from one institution, the Office of Research coordinates this process for UW. Pre-proposals are due to their office in advance of the sponsor deadline and a committee determines which full UW proposals are approved to be submitted to the sponsor. These proposals usually require an eGC1. CAS Corporate and Foundation Relations is available to support you with pre-proposals to ensure they are internally competitive.
Identify Potential Funding Sources - Securing funding involves identifying a potential source whose goals and/or mission align with a particular research project and determining eligibility before a PI or team applies. Faculty are encouraged to confer with the CAS Corporate and Foundation Relations team as many foundations will invite a proposal only after establishing a relationship.
