Proposal Review Criteria

GIM 1 outlines the review and submission requirements for proposals at the University of Washington. It includes the roles and responsibilities for the PI, Department Reviewer, eGC1 Administrative Contact, Dean’s Reviewer and OSP. The policy includes a list of aspects that OSP reviews, and a list of items they don’t review. It is important that the PI and anyone else helping to prepare the proposal take full responsibility for the content of the application so read the sponsor program announcement thoroughly and read this policy. OSP will provide their review feedback in two categories – Required Changes and Recommended Changes. When responding back to OSP, always address each of the items in order (e.g., updated, done, not required by sponsor, justification for exception).

Routing Process - Your proposal will route for on campus review using the SAGE eGC1 form. The data in the eGC1 and the rules for each school or college will determine the approval graph. The authorized reviewer for each unit will be notified by email.
