I. Meeting called to order at 3:03 p.m. by assistant-chair Natassia Stelmaszek
II. The minutes from the August 2017 meeting were approved.
III. University-Wide Health and Safety Committee meeting report: Maggie reported that there was a presentation on workers compensation by the Claims Services Office. Information is available on their website. The current draft of the University Wide Large Event Planning & Coordination Checklist has been scrapped and a new draft will be presented at a later date.

V. New Business: Elections update: Maggie sent notices to all CAS department administrators and asked that they inform all of their employees of the nomination/election process. The group agreed that the nomination cutoff of 9/29 should be extended to 10/20 in an effort to gain more nominations.
The next meeting will be on Thursday, October 19 at 3:30 p.m. in CMU 065
