Annual Hiring Cycle

Each year, the Dean's Office must submit a hiring plan to the Provost for approval. This sequence outlines the process and key action items for units. A thoughtful hiring plan is essential for maintaining academic integrity, managing resources effectively, fostering diversity, and ensuring adaptability in an evolving educational landscape. Titles that require hiring plan approval include:

  • Artist/Senior Artist in Residence
  • Clinical Practice professorial appointments
  • Professorial appointments (including teaching, tenure, research, and without tenure tracks)
  • Professor of Practice
