Pre-Review

Before submitting a promotion recommendation to the College, departments should review the following elements in the employee's Workday record for accuracy:

  1. Education History
    • Ensure a complete and accurate record of the employee's educational background
  2. Start and End Dates
    • Verify that all academic appointments and job profiles reflect actual start and end dates
  3. Joint Appointments
    • Confirm accurate representation of any joint appointments
  4. Dual Appointments
    • Typically adjunct appointments*
  5. FTE, Roster Percent, and Tenure Values
    • Update to accurately reflect the employee's current status
  6. Waiver Years
    • Ensure any clock waivers are correctly recorded in the Promotion Clock Waiver Year(s) custom object

Beyond Workday updates, ensure the candidate is compliant with:

  1. Outside Professional Work Policy (Executive Order 57)
    • Verify documentation (Form 1460) is complete and up-to-date
  2. Title IX Employee Training

*Important Note: Avoid offering new adjunct appointments during the promotion/tenure review period, as it may cause delays in the review.
