Beneficiary Portal

The UW's online Beneficiary Portal tool helps to automate the student thank you letter collection process. The tool allows departments to communicate with student recipients through customized requests and collect letters through an online form. It makes it easy to review the responses and share them with your donors by printing the letters onto letterhead or displaying them online for donors in their My UW Giving portal.

UW Donor Relations provides training and support for Beneficiary Portal. The CAS Advancement Services team coordinates several group training opportunities each year, or you can reach out to central Donor Relations to schedule a personal one-on-one or group-setting training at any time by emailing

Helpful Tip: If you'd like to be able to share copies of the messages you send to students through Beneficiary Portal with advisors, be sure to check the box to BCC yourself on all emails at the top of the "Manage Your Messages" page. You can then forward your copies of those messages with colleagues.

The Advancement Services team coordinates group Beneficiary Portal trainings twice each year for Arts & Sciences departments and centers, typically in fall and in winter.
