Donors who support faculty appointments through an endowed or current use gift help UW recruit and retain talented faculty. Their gifts ensure that the College remains a teaching and research powerhouse. These donors care deeply about the work being accomplished and enjoy hearing how their gifts have enhanced the UW's work.
Because our ability to communicate the impact donors have on the College is so important to developing long-term relationships, we aim for 100% participation in the faculty stewardship letters process each year.
Each winter the CAS Advancement Services team coordinates an annual faculty stewardship letters process to let our donors know about the impact of their support. We work closely with the Dean’s Office to remind faculty appointment holders to write letters. Appointment holders share these letters with the donors and stewardees who have supported their appointment.
